Why Do We Live In Utah Again?
Don't get me wrong, Utah is beautiful, but California in May is amazing. We took a much needed family vacation to Disney Land and the beach last week. We spent two days at each and had a great time. The weather was perfect. It was in the 80's most of the week, and we only waited in line about 20 minutes on average for a ride. I thought I was dreaming.
We did make one mistake with Zach, however... We decided to go on Splash Mountain for one of our first rides. Yea, that wasn't a good idea. There are several drops and a rather large one. I was sitting behind Zach in the log. I swear his little heart was going to beat out of his chest. He was completely stiff and just cried and cried. I have never seen a child more afraid of anything in his life. It was like he was at the doctor's office ready to get a shot. Of course he survived the ride, but the rest of the day, he kept asking me to ask the ride attendant on each ride if there were any "frops". That is how he says drops. Poor kid. He is definitely our tender little one, but I love him for that. Other than that, they loved it. It is fun to watch them experience new things, well, most things that is.
Huntington Beach is by far my favorite beach that I have been to in a long time. It is a beautiful sandy beach that goes on forever. The kids loved running and jumping over the waves and just being covered in sand. They were so happy there. The water was freezing, but they didn't care. We collected amazing seashells. They were perfect and not broken. Some were so big tht they looked sike ones you would buy in a store. We even saw dolphins jumping out of the water from the shore! It was amazing. There were probably five or six of them just playing. I have never seen them so close to the beach before. Loved it. I think the kids loved the beach even more than Disney Land. The beach is free, so go figure.
The world needs more uplifting quotes. I thought you all would enjoy this one... "I am no longer afraid of storms, for I am learning to sail my own ship."

So Hard To Say Goodbye
If I remember correctly, no one in the Andrus family asked my permission if they could sell their house and move! Just kidding. I am deeply saddened to know that soon thy will not live so close, but I am very excited for them that they will be starting a new and exciting adventure. It is not everyday that you find such awesome friends and neighbors like the Andrus family. Thanks for being such an awesome friend, Audrey. Thanks also, Dalton and Myles for being such great friends to Madison and Zach. I will miss the kids running back and forth from house to house to play and walking to school to get them. I will miss game nights with Audrey and her positive example in all that she does. You guys are one in a million. We will miss you greatly, so I hope that our families can stay in touch!

Who Should Drive?
It is 12:53 am, and I am still sitting at my computer. Why I can't sleep, I don't know. It has to be, because I am thinking of a funny experience that I have to share. It was an ordinary afternoon a couple of months ago, and I get a phone call from my sister Nicole. I answered the phone to her crying and quite simply freaking out. I finally understood her telling me that her knee cap popped out of place again, and that I needed to run down the street to help her with Kamryn (Ryn). I ran out the door as quickly as I could to her house down the street. That is amazing, because have you ever seen me run? Once there, we decided it would be easier if we went back to my house, because Madi and Zach were still there. Now obviously she couldn't walk, so we had to drive. Now this is the part that keeps running through my head....
Picture the two of us yelling, yes yelling, about which one of us was going to drive her car. Her right knee was jacked up, and well, you know my situation. Should someone have walked by her front door, they would have been a little alarmed at the commotion. Well I won, and yes, I got to drive down the street in a car without my driver's license. Loved it, probably because I don't normally win an argument with my little sister.
Sister in the Hood
Madi and Zach love having their cousin Kamryn so close as well. She is the cutest thing ever and constantly makes us laugh. She has quite the little personality, and we love her even though she could take Zach out in a single punch.
With Nicole being so close now that she is in the hood, I have realized that maybe, just maybe, we are more alike than I thought. Now that is not a bad thing.
